Our management team are highly experienced and qualified to look after those we care for.
Because everyday is an opportunity to share our love with our residents we pride ourselves in being there just when it matters.
Sometimes a moment of kindness can make all the difference to someone’s day. We are there to engage with, to encourage, appreciate their daily battles which in turn makes their day a brighter one.

We like to focus on the quality of life for everyone in our care and we do this in many ways including recreational activities, quality care and their dining experiences.
Throughout the week activity co-ordinators prepare a weekly schedule of activities, enabling residents to choose various events that they might wish to participate in, at Willowbrook House we try to meet the interests of individuals.
We have found that often it’s those activities that relate to everyday life such as conversation and socialising, that helps residents to maintain a sense of normality.
We actively encourage families to become involved in the care plans for their loved ones and to continue to work with us in providing the best possible service.
All are invited to regular relative meetings and if they so wish to join the residents committee.
The home has a hairdressing salon and a visiting hairdresser calls regularly to providing a service for those who require it.
Perhaps the most important aspect you may need to consider is the quality of the nursing staff both qualified and care assistants. It is the Matron/Manager and nursing staff – their attitude, caring nature, patience, skill and experience – that really counts, since they are the ones in constant contact
with your loved one, providing 24 hour care, standing in for you as it were.
We select our staff for their caring attitude and provide training for them in all aspects of nursing care, as we believe wholeheartedly in the continued training to help and assist them in the provision of care to the residents, providing dignity and respect, always acknowledging that Willowbrook House is the resident’s home.
We have an ongoing training programme so that the staff become increasingly skilled at caring and interacting with the residents, being more aware of their needs – especially where dementia is concerned – and therefore better able to make them feel secure and cared for.
Come and see for yourself. Meet the Matron and staff; ask all the questions that you need to in order to put your mind at ease and assure yourself that you have made the right decision. See that Willowbrook House has a friendly caring approach and atmosphere. Talk to the residents and ask them how they feel.
Another essential aspect of care is Medical Services cover and Willowbrook House has a link with the local surgery (literally just across the road), who will provide GP cover for those residents whose own GP find it too far to visit. We also have good relationship with local health professionals and visits can be arranged with physiotherapist, speech therapist, chiropodist, audiologist, opticians, and Dentist.
